STAINLESS STEEL FOIL ALLOY 316L
Stainless Steel Foil Alloy 316L is considered an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel that contains 2.5% Molybdenum. It offers a superior corrosion resistance to that of other chrome-nickel steels such as Type 304. With excellent pitting resistance and good resistance to most chemicals involved in the paper, textile and photographic industries. Type 316L is be easily formed and drawn.
Typical applications and used for type 316L include jet engines, exhaust manifolds, furnace parts, valve, and pump trims. Type 316L is also an extra-low carbon version of Type 316 that minimizes harmful carbide precipitation due to welding.
