Stainless Steel Alloy 316
Molybdenum Bearing Corrosion Resistant
18% chromium, 8% nickel, and 2 to 3% molybdenum. The molybdenum raises both corrosion resistance and high temperature strength, with the biggest gains against reducing acids and pitting corrosion. Generally regarded as the best all around corrosion resistant austenitic stainless available. Non-magnetic and non-heat-treatable, with excellent cold forming and drawing properties, and rated to 1,500°F. We stock 316 in foil and sheet and convert it to your width and length.
