Stainless Steel Alloy 302

Austenitic Stainless Foil

An austenitic stainless and one of the most widely used alloys in the family. Its 19% chromium content gives strong resistance in oxidizing environments, and it shows up regularly in architectural work and building facades. Carbon content runs slightly higher than 304. Most commonly supplied in strip and wire forms. Plenty of users have moved to 304 and 304L on availability and cost. We stock 302 and will tell you honestly whether that switch makes sense for your application.
